Auctroventa team came first place in the International Competition for the Detection of Landmines and Explosives (13/9/2018)
Auctroventa team , the representative of October 6 University, came first place in the International Competition for the Detection of Landmines and Explosives in its 7th edition organized at the Faculty of Engineering University of Alexandria, in partnership with the Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for robots (IEEE RAS) , the institution (Hadath for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) , in cooperation with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) as a strategic partner, with the participation of 40 teams from 23 different Egyptian universities in the competition. 17 pre-university teams also took part. The winning teams in the Egyptian qualifiers will qualify for the international competition in Madrid, Spain 2018, the largest conference on robotics technology in the world.

The Faculty of Engineering (Mechatronics Department) Wins the Third Place at in the Landmine Detection (17/10/2017)
AUCTOVENTA Team, the representative of the Department of Mechatronics at the Faculty of Engineering, October 6 University, consisting of (Mohamed Atef Zaghloul, Mohamed Anwar Mahmoud, Yasmin Mokhtar Abdel Salam, Mohamed Abdel Fattah Ahmed, Mina Medhat Tadris, Youssef Mohamed Mostafa), won the third place in the Landmine Detection Competition at Suez Canal University at which a number of state and private universities and institutes took part. The Team has qualified to participate in the international finals to be held at the International Islamic University of Malaysia, with the participation of international universities and centers from 25 October to 1 November 2017.

The graduation ceremony was held on Wednesday 5/7/2017 for the students of the Faculty of Engineering at Moevenpick Hotel, 6th of October City, in the presence of Eng. Tarek El Nabrawy, Chief of Engineers Syndicate, and Eng. Iman Said, Member of the Supreme Council of the Syndicate, and Prof. Mohamed Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mustafa Abdel-Warith, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and a group of faculty members. Distinguished students were honored and handed over plates and Certificates of Appreciation.
